Adobe Illustrator CS4 Time Saver
Rufus Deuchler of Adobe recently posted on his blog a short video explaining one of the new features found in Adobe Illustrator CS4. In past versions of Illustrator, if you were working on multiple project using the same elements (such as the same logo or text), if you made changes to one of the elements you would have to propogate those changes to every other instance of that element. So, if you were working on 4 different banner ad sizes with the same logo, you would have to update all 4 files by hand. Using the multiple artboard feature found in Illustrator CS4, that is no longer necessary.
These multiple artboards automatically translate changes made in one instance to all other instances of the same element across all of the projects you are working on. Adobe claims this process is 350% percent fast than updating by hand, saving you time and frustration.
