Yesterday, the Norton Beta Center debuted pre-release versions of Norton Internet Security 2010 and Norton AntiVirus 2010. These free, public test versions are good for 30 days and will allow you to test out some of the new features in the 2010 versions.
Norton AntiVirus 2010 is even faster and more proactive than the radically changed 2009 version. AntiVirus 2010 features Symantec’s new SONAR 2 technology to prevent new threats that aren’t known about yet. The 2010 version is also compatible with Windows 7, which is perfect if you’re trying out that test platform as well.
Norton Internet Security 2010 takes all the features found in AntiVirus 2010, and adds comprehensive protection against all forms of online threats. In addition to virus and malware protection, Internet Security 2010 features browser plug-ins to ensure safe browsing, as well as identity theft protection. Norton Internet Security is a broader protection suite that will keep you safe on all fronts.
The dashboard for 2010 has been slightly updated, and now includes memory and CPU usage charts and better visualization of infections over time.

If you feel like testing out the latest anti-virus and protection software available, check out the Norton Beta Center page for more information and direct download links. These Windows 7 compatible security programs will be available for purchase sometime this fall.
